Abstract
Objective To compare the clinical efficacy between valsartan combined hydrochlorothiazide and valsartan alone in treating essential hypertension,to guide the clinical treatment. Methods Eighty-six patients with essential hypertension in our hospital were randomly divided into experimental and control group. The experimental group and control group patients were given 80 mg/d dose of valsartan, and the experimental group was given hydrochlorothiazide,12.5 mg one time,2 times a day. After 8 weeks of treatment, the clinical effective rate and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared. Results After treatment,SBP and DBP of the experimental group was significantly lower than that of control group(P 0.05),the clinical total effective rate and the incidence of adverse reactions of the experimental group were 90.7% and 4.7%,while the control group were 79.1% and 4.7%.The clinical total effective rate of experimental group was significantly higher than that of control group(P 0.05),while there was no significant difference in incidence of adverse reaction and pulse pressure between two groups(P 0.05).Conclusion Valsartan combined with hydrochlorothiazide treatment for essential hypertension can significantly improve the treatment efficiency, and its adverse reactions are mild and of good safety.
