Abstract
Objective To investigate the efficacy and safety of homemade lornoxicam combined with fentanyl used in postoperative analgesia, and the effects of the combination on coagulation, hepatic and nephric functions. Methods Sixty five patients scheduled for gynaecologic surgery undergoing epidural anesthesia were recruited. Analgesia was started at the end of operation. All patients were divided into three groups. GroupⅠ(n =21) ,Ⅱ(n =23) andⅢ(n=21) received homemade lornoxicam + fentanyl, lornoxicam + fentanyl, and fentanyl for postoperative analgesia respectively. Analgesia score, the change of preoperative and postoperative PT,BUN and GPT,and side effects were observed and recorded. Results Age,weight, operating time, and total dosage of anesthetics had no difference among groups. There was no significant difference in analgesic efficacy among the three groups, but incidence of vomiting and nausea in groupⅢwas significantly higher than that in groupⅠand groupⅡ(P 0. 05). Three groups had similar effects on coagulation, hepatic and renal functions (P0. 05). Conclusions Homemade lornoxicam can provide an identical efficacy when combined with fentanyl in the postoperative analgesia, and can decrease the dosage of fentanyl and side effects.
