Abstract
OBJECTIVE To observe the efficacy of ambroxol hydrochloride combined with budesonide by aerosol inhalation in the treatment of the children with bronchial pneumonia.METHODS A total of 156 children with bronchial pneumonia, who enrolled the pediatrics department from Jul 2011 to Dec 2011,were randomly divided into Group A and Group B.The children in the group A received ambroxol hydrochloride by aerosol inhalation besides the general basic treatment, and the children in the group B received ambroxol hydrochloride plus budesonide by aerosol inhalation general besides basic treatment. Both of the treatment courses were 7 days;the clinical symptoms of the bronchial pneumonia as well as their durations were compared after the treatment.RESULTS In the group B the incidence rates of fever, cough, asthma, rhonchus and shadows of X ray in lung after treatment were 7.69%,11.54%,6.41%,14.10%,and 16.67%,respectively,which were significantly decreased as compared with those before the treatment(P0.01),and the incidence rates of the symptoms mentioned above were significantly lower in the group B than in the group A;in the group B the duration of fever, cough, asthma, rhonchus and shadows of X-ray in lung after the treatment were respectively(2.21±0.59) days,(4.52±0.42) days,(3.98±0.58) days,(5.87±0.50) days,and(6.24±0.57) days, which were significantly shorter than those in the group A(P0.01).CONCLUSION Ambroxol hydrochloride combined budesonide by aerosol inhalation is effective to treat the children with bronchial pneumonia, thus worthy of being recommended in the hospital.
