Abstract
It is already five years since the reform of basic physical education and health curriculum that started in 2001.There are many contradictions,even departure,both in theory and practice.Although its experiences and achievements are gratifying,problems are worth rethinking as well.So,this paper discusses such questions as the theory base of new physical education curriculum reform, the aim orientation of curriculum and the reality,pertinence,consistency,operability,feedback or scientific nature of the reform.The discussion tends to offer advices for the new physical education curriculum reform.
