On Reflective Foreign Language Teaching

Abstract

Reflective teaching is an approach to teaching and teacher education which is based on the assumption that teachers can improve their understanding of teaching and the quality of their own teaching by reflecting critically on their teaching experiences.In the case of the foreign language teacher,reflective teaching not only enhances his teaching ability but also helps to explore educational theories.This paper gives an introduction to the the development of reflective teaching,the process of its implementation and its application to foreign language teaching.
