Pentraxin-3 in Patients with Congestive Heart Failure

Objective:To observe the long pentraxin-3(PTX-3) changes in coronary heart failure,preliminary discuss PTX-3 in coronary heart failure and its significance.Methods:Selected 107 cases of patients by coronary angiography.Divided into 4 groups according to NYHA classification,with the ELISA method for measuring serum PTX-3,routine echocardiography examination left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF),cardiac function compare differences between groups.Results:PTX-3 in patients with heart failure were significantly higher than the control group of patients.NYHA functional class increased with the increase in PTX3 levels,It is obviously significant,especially in heart failure III,IV level groups(p0.01).Conclusions:Serum PTX-3 concentration and cardiac function associated with coronary heart disease,heart function can reflect the degree of coronary artery disease.These findings suggest that the severity of heart failure associated with the severity of inflammatory response,PTX-3 levels higher in patients with ischemic heart disease compared with more severe heart failure.
