Changes and significance of nuclear factor-κB in heart failure patients with coronary heart disease

Objective To observe the significance of NF-κB in the development of heart failure patients with coronary heart disease.Methods Seventy-five patients with heart failure(heart failure group) and general data matched 35 patients with stable angina pectoris(angina pectoris group),32 healthy subjects(control group)were enrolled,the levels of NF-κB in peripheral blood were measured by ELISA sassay,the cardiac function and cardiac structure indexes were detected by echocardiograph,the correlation were analyzed.Results The levels of NF-κB in peripheral blood of the heart failure group was significantly higher than that of the control group,which of the NYHA Ⅲ and NYHA Ⅳ cases were significantly higher than that of the angina pectoris group(P0.01);the cardiac function and structure indexes of the heart failure group were worse than those of the control group,the levels of NF-κB showed a negative correlation to the cardiac function indexes and a positive correlation to the heart structure indexes(both P0.05).Conclusion NF-κB play certain roles in the progression of heart failure patients with coronary.
