Abstract
Microwave technology was used to the extract yellow pigment from maize powder,and the influencing factors of yellow pigment extraction rate was studied through the single factors and orthogonal test.Results showed that the maximum absorbance wavelength of the maize yellow pigment is 448 nm.The optimal microwave conditions were available in yellow pigment extraction of maize powder as follows 50 % ethanol as solvent,microwave power 450 W,ratio of solid-liquid 1∶12(g∶mL),extraction time 80 s,2 times extraction.
