Abstract
Obstractive:To investigate angiotensin converting enzyme(ACE) gene polymorphism in essential hypertension(EH).Methods:Polymerase chain reaction Restriction fragment length polymorphism(PCR RFLP) were used to detect the gene type frequency and polymorphism of ACE in 152 patients of EH and 111 normal controls. Results:The frequency of D allele of ACE gene is significantly higher in EH than in normal controls, and this difference only exists in males. Conclusion:There is significant difference in the distribution of ACE genotypes between hypertensives and controls in males.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Application details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
