Clinical observation of the treatment of acute angle-closure glaucoma with phaeoemulsification with intraocular lens implantation

Objective To investigate the operation method of acute angle-closure glaucoma. Methods 17 patients(17 eyes) of acute angleclosure galucoma accepted phacoemulsification with intraocular lens implantation from Jan.2004 to Dec.2005. Results The intraocular pressure of 15 eyes(88%) were normal,the best corrected visual acuty improved 2～4 lines compared with pre-operation. Conclusions Phacoemulsification with intraocular lens implantation is a new and effect way to acute angle-closure glaucoma.especially to mixed cataract of mid-term and pre-mature.
