The value of localized biopsy with the colposcopy for the diagnosis of cervical lesions

Objective To investigate the value and significance of the cervical biopsy with the colposcopy for the diagnosis of cervical lesions in clinical practice.Methods The data resulting from 314 outpatients with cervical lesions was analyzed retrospectively,compared and summarized in department of gynaecology and obstetrics,the people's hospital of Ziyang city from May 2008 to June 2009.314 cases were taken the examination by the colposcopy and localized biopsy with the colposcopy.Results There was 14-case with cervical cancer accounting for 4.46%,70-case with cervical intraepithelial neoplasia(CIN) accounting for 22.3%,168-case with chronic cervicitis accounting for 53.5% and 62-case with cervical polyps accounting for 19.7%.Conclusion The cervical cancer and precancerous lesions patients were tending to be younger in recent years and the early lesions was no characteristics with visual observation and early diagnosed difficultly.The examination and localized biopsy by the colposcopy could be used for early diagnosis and improve the detection rate of cervical lesions in order to early diagnose and treat for reducing the incidence of advanced cervical cancer significantly.
