Abstract

Objective To evaluate the clinical value of colposcopy in diagnosis of cervical lesions. Methods The date of 628 cervical lesions with biopsy under colposcopy were retrospectively reviewed. Results In 628 cases, there were 293 histopathologically diagnosed as cervicitis (46.66%),211 CINⅠ-CINⅡ(33.60%),and 98 CINⅢ and invasive cervical carcinomas(15.61%).The statistical analysis showed that the accuracy of cervical cytology and colposcopy was different (P0.05) in the pathological positive group. Conclusion The accuracy, sensitivity, and specialization of colposcopy, compared with the pathological diagnosis, are 93.54%,94.1%,and 90.81%,respectivly.Colposcopy plays an important role in identifying the precancerous cervical lesions and the cervical cancers.
