Observation of the therapeutic effect of xuefuzhuyutang in 35 cases of unstable angina pectoris

Objective To observe the therapeutic effects of Xuefuzhuyutang in treatment of unstable angina pectoris.Methods Seventy patients with unstable angina pectoris were randomly divided into treatment group and control group,each having 35 patients.The control group was treated with routine western medicine.The treatment group was treated with Xuefuzhuyutang,in addition to the above-metioned routine medicine for the control group.The therapeutic effects of both groups were evaluated after a period of treatment(20 days) by observing the improvement of symptom and the changes of electrocardiogram,hemorheology and bood lipid level.Results The therapeutic effect was excellent for 22 cases,effective for 10 cases and noneffective for 3 cases,the excellent rate was 62.9% the general effective rate was 91.4 % in the treatment group,while it was 19,9,7and 80.0 % respectively in the control group.Conclusion The therapeutic effect was much better in the treatment group compared with the control group.Angina pectoris symptom and electrocardiogram datas in the treatmant group were greatly improved,while their blood viscosity,plasma viscosity,plasma level of fibrinogen,total cholesterol and triglyceride obviously decreased.Xuefuzhuyutang has a specific and definite curative effect on unstable angina pectoris.It can distend coronary,decrease the resistance of blood vessel,restrain the aggregation of hematoblasts and red blood cells and improve microcirculation.
