Abstract
Objective:To study the relationship between recurrent spontaneous abortion and the incidence of chromosomal abnormalities.Methods:Karyotypes in peripheral blood lymphocytes of 200 recurrent spontaneous abortion couples were analyzed by chromosome G banding methods.Results:Various abnormal karyotypes were found in 32 cases and detective rate was 8%.The detective rate was 2 5% in reciprocal translocation,1 5% in inversion,2% in mark Y(big Y) chromosome and 3 5% indeletion.Chromosome aberration of female was more than male (1∶0 6).Conclusion:Chromosomal abnormality was an important cause in recurrent spontaneous abortion.It suggested that the karyotypes of recurrent spontaneous abortion couples would be examined during genetic counseling.
