Abstract

Objective To study the effect of preoperative and postoperative respiratory function exercises on pulmonary function rehabilitation of patients undergoing thoracic surgery. Methods 140 patients of thoracic surgery were randomly divided into control and experiment group(70 cases for each group). The routine cough training of pre-and post-operation was adopted in the control group; But pulmonary function training was applied in the experiment group, incluing abdominal deep breathing, pursed lip breathing and effective cough training. The pulmonary function of pre-and post-operation were compared between the two groups, also the pulmonary function improvement of pre-and post-operation was compared in the experiment group. Results The clinical outcomes of pre-and post-operation in the experiment group were significantly better than those of the control group(P0.05),but the clinical outcomes of pre-and post-operation in the experiment group were close, something may close to normal(P0.05).Conclusion The respiratory function exercises can effectively improve pulmonary function and reduce posoperation complications,so as to accelerate the recovery of patients.
