Abstract
Objective To explore the relationship between coronary heart disease(CHD) and C reactive protein(CRP) level. Methods The level of CRP was measured in 70 CHD patients confirmed by coronary arteriography(CAG) and compared with the level of 70 healthy controls. In the CHD group, there were 22 patients with single vessel pathological changes and 48 patients with more than single vessel,32 patients had stable angina and 38 patients had unstable angina. Results The plasma CRP levels increased sequentially in the normal control group, the stable angina pectoris group and the unstable angina pectoris group. The indices in the stable angina pectoris group and the unstable angina pectoris group were significantly higher than that in the normal control group(P0.05,P0.01).In the coronary heart disease group, the CRP level of 2 vessels lesion group and 3 vessels lesion group were increased sequentially, and were significantly higher than that in the normal control group(P0.05 or P0.01).Conclusions The CRP level are correlative with CHD and the severity of CHD.
