Clinical observation on Amlodipine Besylate in the treatment of essential hypertension

Objective To observe the clinical efficiency and its safety of Amlodipine Besylate Tablets in the treatment of essential hypertension.Methods 80 patients with essential hypertension were divided into two groups: control group and observation group.each included 40 patients.The patients in the control group took Nifedipine Tables and patients in the observation group took Amlodipine Besylate Tablets,8 weeks was appointed for a period of treatment.After a course,the clinical efficiency of the two groups was observed,and then the blood pressure,heart rate and adverse reactions after treatment were compared.Results The blood pressure(systolic pressure and diastolic pressure) of the observation group was generally lower than that of the control group,the difference between both groups was statistically significant(P 0.05),the significant efficiency reached up to 77.5% and the total efficiency up to 97.5%,both of which was higher than that(60.0% and 87.5%) in the control group(P 0.05);comparing the adverse reactions of both group,the adverse reactions in the treatment group were lower than that in the control group,the difference between both groups was statistically significant(P 0.05).The heart rate in two groups was not statistically significant before and after treatment(P 0.05).Conclusion The curative effect of Amlodipine Besylate Tablets is remarkable and its side effect is little,it can be regarded as the first class of clinical medicine in treating hypertension.
