The effect of amlodipine besylate combined with enalapril in treatment with essential hypertension and its safety evaluation

OBJECTIVE To observe the effect of amlodipine besylate combined with enalapril in treatment with essential hypertension,and evaluate its safety.METHODS From October 2008 to September 2010,168 cases of essential hypertension patients were classified into two groups,which observation group of 84 cases were treated with amlodipine besylate combined with enalapril and control group of 84 cases were only treated with amlodipine besylate.The clinical effect,blood pressure,heart rate,and adverse reaction between the two groups were compared.RESUTLS The total effective rate in observation group was 85.7%,which significantly higher than that in control group with 72.6%(P 0.05).After treatment,the levels of systolic and diastolic blood pressure and heast rate in both two groups were significantly decreased(P 0.05).Moreover,the levels of systolic and diastolic blood pressure and heart rate in observation group were significantly lower than those in control group(P 0.05).There was no significant difference in adverse reaction rate between two groups(P 0.05).CONCLUSION Amlodipine besylate combined with enalapril in treatment with essential hypertension can enhance effect,and not increase the adverse reaction rate,which can be applied in clinic.
