Research on Competitiveness Appraisal of High - tech Industry in Pearl River Delta

This paper analyzes high-tech industry scale,efficiency,internationalization,growth and development po-tential in Pearl River Delta,and a conclusion is reached by empirical methods that the comprehensive competitiveness of high-tech industry is increasing year by year.The high-tech industry development in this region has three charac-teristics: industrial development scale is gradually expanding,industrial growth performance for wave form,and the in-dustrial development potential is not stable.Finally it puts forward some policy suggestion about industrial policies,sci-ence and technology investment,independent innovation,talents and environment,etc.
