Abstract
Objective To understand the vibrio parahaemolyticus contamination in Xiangshan native marine products and explore the relationship between marine products contamination and food poisoning. Methods Fish,crustacean and shellfish were collected from local marine products market during different seasons. Then MPN method was applied to detect vibrio parahaemolyticus quantitatively. To those positive stains additional serotyping and virulence gene detection were carried out. Results The average detected rate of vibrio parahaemolyticus was 54.2% all the year around,with a maximal content≥24000MPN/100g. Both the detected rate and contamination level turned up highest in the third quarter of a year while the degree of pollution in the shellfish was the heaviest. Additionally,the distribution of serotypes was primarily concentrated in O11/O4/O5,and three of them carried with tdh gene. Conclusion Xiangshan native marine products are contaminated severely with vibrio parahaemolyticus and shows an obvious seasonal pattern,which is identical with the season of local food poisoning. Therefore,vibrio parahaemolyticus contamination should be paid more attention to as a primary risk factor of foodborne diseases.
