Effect and safety of mifepristone combined with Guizhifuling capsule on the treatment of uterine fibroids

Abstract
Objectives: To investigate the clinical efficacy and safety of Mifepristone combined with Guizhifuling capsule on the treatment of uterine fibroids.Methods: A total of 92 patients with uterine fibroids treated in our hospital from March 2011 to March 2012 were divided into the observation group and the control group,with 46 patients in each group.The control group was given mifepristone treatment,while the observation group was treated with Mifepristone combined with Guizhifuling capsule.The curative efficacy was evaluated by observing the changes of myoma size,uterine volume and sex hormone level in the two groups before and after the treatment.Results: After the treatment,the observation group's uterine myoma size and uterine volume were significantly smaller than the control group(P0.05);The observation group's cure rate and total effective rate were significantly higher than the control group(P0.05);E2 and P levels in the observation group after treatment were significantly lower than that of the control group(P0.05);The adverse reactions in both of the two groups were relatively minor.Conclusion: For uterine fibroids,mifepristone combined with guizhifuling capsule has good efficacy and less adverse reactions.It can be used as a better conservative treatment option for the treatment of uterine fibroids.
