Abstract
Objective To evaluate the value of non-invasive positive pressure ventilation(NIPPV)in the treatment of acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(AECOPD)with respiratory failure. Methods 28patients with AECOPD were respectively received conventional medical therapy plus NIPPV.The of blood gas analysis and breath rateof patients before and after 2hours and 24hours the treatment were compared. Results The blood gas analysis and breath rate improved significantly after 2hours and 24hours the treatment(P0.05).Conclusion Non-invasive positive pressure ventilation has positive effects on patients of AECOPD with respiratory failure significantly.
