The Toxicological Assessment on Safety of Soft Capsule of Grape Seed.

Abstract

Aim To evaluate the safety on the soft capsule of grape seed.Methods The acute toxicity test,bone marrow cell micronucleus test,mice sperm abnormality test,Ames test and 30 days feeding test were used in this study according to the procedures for toxicological assessment of food.Results The value of oral MTD for mice was more than 10.0g/kg BW,being involved in actually nontoxic rade;the result of bone marrow cell micronucleus test,mice sperm abnornality test,and Ames test were negative;all indexes in 30 days feeding test were not abnormal.Conclusion The soft capsule of grape seed was safe in this study.
