Experimental Study of WeiTaTong Soft Capsules on Adjusting Serum Lipid Levels

Objective:To study the influence of WeiTaTong soft capsules on serum lipid of model rats with hyperlipidemia to explore the adjustment of WeiTaTong soft capsules.Method:The model rats with hyperlipidemia induced by high fat diet were fed with WeiTaTong soft capsules at the low,moderate,high dose for 30 days.The contents of TC,TG and HDL-C of the rats were detected to statistically analyze the adjustment of WeiTaTong soft capsules.Result:Comparison of the levels of TC,TG,HDL-C before medication among different doses of WeiTaTong soft capsules groups and hyperlipidemia control group showed no significant difference(P0.05);After medication for 30 days,comparison of the contents of TC and TG among the low-dose,moderate-dose WeiTaTong group and hyperlipidemia control group indicated no significant differences(P0.05),while comparison of the contents of TC and TG between high-dose WeiTaTong group and hyperlipidemia control group showed a significant difference(P0.05).Comparison of HDL-C content among different groups showed no significant difference(P0.05)before or after the experiments.TC of low,moderate,high dose WeiTaTong groups were decreased by 10.2%,12.7% and 18.3% respectively;TG were decreased by23.9%,16.7% and 23.9%;while HDL-C of low-dose group decreased by 2.3%,HDL-C moderate-dose and high-dose group were increased by 9.3% and 2.3%.Conclusion:WeiTaTong soft capsules can effectively lower serum lipid.
