Abstract
Objective To investigate the analgesic effects of Zhengtongsan (ZTS).Methods The analgesic effects of Zhengtongsan on mice were observed by electrical stimulation procedure, mouse writhing response and hot plate test. Results The Zhengtongsan could enhance the pain threshold of mice to the electrical stimulation (P 0.05) and reduce the numbers of writhes induced by acetic acid, and the inhibition rates at 3 different drug doses were 73,4%,43.7% and 31.2% respectively. At the same time,Zhengtongsan also could prolong the time of hot plate response in mice (P0.05).Conclusion The Zhengtongsan has certain analgesic effects.
