Observation on ShuGan LiDanTang in the Treatment for 30 Cases of Chronic Calculous Cholecystitis

Objective: To observe clinical efficacy of ShuGan LiDanTang in treating chronic calculous cholecystitis.Method: All 60 patients were allocated into the observation group and the control group.Both groups received corresponding therapy of relieving pain and spasm,anti-inflammation,correcting the imbalance of water,electrolyte,acid-base,took XiaoYan LiDan tablets at the same time,four pills each time,twice per day.The observation group took ShuGan LiDanTang,one dose each day,decocted and took in the morning,the afternoon and evening.Ten days were one course of treatment,clinical effects were observed after treating for two consecutive courses of treatment.Result: Cure rates of the observation group and the control group were respectively 73.33% and 53.33%,the difference between both groups was significant(P0.05).Total effective rates of both groups were 93.33% and 80.00%,the difference was remarkable(P0.05).Clinical symptoms and body signs of both groups were obviously reduced in right hypochondriac pain,the bloating of chest and hypochondria,nausea and vomiting,anorexia,bitter taste in mouth and dry throat,heavy body and lassitude,positive Murphy's sign(P0.05),the comparisons between groups demonstrated significant difference(P0.05).Conclusion: ShuGan LiDanTang is effective in treating chronic calculous cholecystitis.
