Efficacy of Shugan lidan decoction in the treatment of elderly patients with cholecystitis and cholelithiasis

Objective To evaluate the clinical effect of Shugan lidan decoction in the treatment of elderly patients with cholecystitis and cholelithiasis. Methods Seventy-seven patients with cholecystitis and cholelithiasis admitted into our hospital from April 2009 to March 2013 were selected and divided into observation group and control group in random.The emergency operation was applied in control group(38 cases),while oral administration of Shugan lidan decoction and intravenous drip of cefoperazone were used in observation group(39 cases),and operation after 7-day treatment.The clinical effect,change of symptom score and level of blood lipid before and after treatment was observed and compared in two groups respectively. Results The total effective rate in observation group was 94.9%,total effective rate in control group was 84.2%,with statistical difference(P0.05).The score of symptom after treatment was lower than that before treatment in two groups,with statistical difference(P0.05).The score of symptom after treatment in observation group was lower than that in control group,with statistical difference(P0.05).TG and TC before treatment in two groups was compared respectively,with no statistical difference(P0.05).TG after treatment in two groups was compared,with no statistical difference(P0.05).TC after treatment in two groups was compared,with statistical difference(P0.05). Conclusion Shugan lidan decoction combined with western medicine in the treatment of elderly patients with cholecystitis and cholelithiasis can obtain a favorable effect and high safety,which is worthy of expansion and application in clinic.
