Abstract

Purpose To investigate the effect of rivanol combined with mifepristone in the induction of labor in mid-pregnancy.Methods 130 pregnant women(17-26 weeks) in need of induction of labor were divided into an observation group(70) and a control group(60).After 100mg rivanol was injected into the amniotic cavity in the observation group,100mg mifepristone was taken orally immediately and 12 hours later, the same dosage of the drug was taken orally again.Only 100mg rivanol was injected in the control group. The time of uterine contraction, the time of fetus induction, the residual of placenta and caul, and injuries of soft birth canal were observed in both groups.Resluts The uterine contraction began faster, the whole birth process was obviously shorter, and the chances of placenta and caul residual and the injuries of soft birth canal decreased distinctively in the observation group compared to the control group. Conclusion Use of rivanol combined with mifepristone in the induction of labor in mid-pregnancy is a safe and convenient way of odinopoeia.
