Abstract

Objective:To investigate the effectiveness and the safety of Mifepristone combined with Rivanol on induction of labor during mid-pregnancy.Methods: One hundred and ninety-eight pregnant women(16-24 weeks) in need of induction of labor were divided into an observation group(98 cases) and a control group(100 cases). After 150 mg Mifepristone was taken orally 12 hours later in the observation group,100 mg Rivanol was injected into the amniotic cavity.Rivanol was only injected in the control group. Some indexes including in the onset time of uterine contraction, total stage of labor, soft birth canal injury, placenta and embryolemma residual, postpartum hemorrhage were observed and compared between two groups. Results: The results of the observation group were better than those of the control group. Conclusion: Usage of Mifepristone combined with Rivanol in the induction of labor in mid-pregnancy is a safe and convenient way of odinopoeia.
