Abstract

Objective To investigate the clinical effects of single-use rivanol and rivanol plus mifepristone for labor induction of mid-term pregnancy. Methods Two hundred and fifty-one cases were randomly divided into two groups: observation group of 120 cases was applied rivanol combination with mifepristone to terminate mid-term pregnancy;Control group of 131 cases was applied a single rivanol. Results Compared with the control group, observation group had significantly shorter fetal placental delivery time, less uterine bleeding, lower induction failure rate and soft birth canal laceration rate. The differences were statistically significant(P 0.01).Conclusion Rivanol combined with mifepristone used for labor induction of mid-term pregnancy has a high rate of successful induction, fewer complications, little pain, shorter hospital stay, and lower rate of postpartum hemorrhage.
