The Study on Mental Health of the Freshmen in 2009——Take Freshmen of a University in Chengdu as an Example

Abstract

Objective:To know the mental health status of freshmen in a university in Chengdu,and explore its influential factors,being ready for the first step that crisis interferes.Methods:Freshmen in 2009 were applied SCL-90 by stratified cluster sampling,with depth interview to study the mental health status of freshmen.Results:The overall mental health status of freshmen is worse than those of Chinese youth norm and the prevalence of mental diseases is 16.52%.The mental health levels of freshmen are significantly different in different sex,specialties,regions,professional satisfaction and the other factors.
