Abstract

Translation naturally is transcoding language symbol.Poetry is a kind of literal style possessing the strong artistic character.Correspondingly,poetry translation is the art of esthetics creation and the artistic reproduction of language symbol.Through analyzing the English version ofLin Daiyu's Elegy on Flowerstranslated by Xu Yuanchong, this paper explores how to reproduce faithfully the beauty of Chinese classical poetry in form,sound and meaning in the translated version.
