Abstract
Objective To understand the positive rate and its resistance of pseudomonas aeruginosa of metallo-β-lactamase produced in the Xiangnan region. Methods Pseudomonas aeruginosa was isolated from 4247 specimens of inpatients in this region from July 2007 to Oct. 2009. The bacterial identification and the susceptibility determination were carried out by using VITEK 2 Compact automated microbial analyzer,at the same time,with the determination of MIC. And the specimen sources and ward distribution were analyzed. Results The detection rate of pseudomonas aeruginosa was 9.77%(415/4247), in which departments of higher detection rate covered ICU,respiratory medicine,general surgery,neurosurgery and orthopedics. The resistance rate of strains producing B-metallo-beta-lactamases was higher than that of the strains not producing B-metallo-beta-lactamases to 16 antibiotics. Conclusion The detection rate of Pseudomonas aeruginosa of B-metallo-beta-lactamases was higher in our area,the distribution is different in different wards,and the resistance rate of the strains producing B-metallo-beta-lactamases to antibiotic is higher than that of the strains not producing B-metallo-beta-lactamases.
