Detection of Pseudomonas Aeruginosa and the Resistance Analysis to 16 Bls Species Antibiotics

Abstract

Objective: To investigate metallo-beta-lactamase and resistance feature of pseudomonas aeruginosa in our area. To provi-ding the laboratory evidence for guiding antibiotic therapy and controlling nosocomial infections. Methods: Bacterial identification and anti-biotic susceptibility tests( MICs) were performed by VITEK 2 Compact system in 2247 clinical departments' isolates samples from January 2012 to January 2013 and Pseudomonas Aeruginosa had been detected in 215 samples. MBL were screened by double-disk synergy test. Then these samples source and wards distribution were analyzed. Results: The detection rate of Pseudomonas aeruginosa was 9. 57%( 215 / 2247). Most pseudomonas aeruginosa strains were isolated from ICU ward. pseudomonas aeruginosa were isolated from respiratory tract. The pseudomonas aeruginosa were isolated in a higher degree from ICU,respiration ward,abdomen surgery,brain surgery and orthopae-dics surgery. The resistance rate of strains producing B-metallo-beta-lactamases were higher than that of the strains non-producing B-metallo-beta-lactamases to 14 BLs species antibiotic offered significantly. Conclusions: The B-metallo-beta-lactamases positive rate was in a relative high degree in our area,the distribution is different in different ward,the resistance rate of the strains producing B-metallo-beta-lactamases to antibiotic is higher than that of the strains of non-producing B-metallo-beta-lactamases.
