Abstract
During the SinoJapanese War of 18941895 launched by Japan to annex area and invade China, the Government of the Qing Dynasty started to raise loan on a large scale from foreign countries in order to deal with the enormous expenditure. In the fierce struggle of obtaining the right of the loan to the Qing Dynasty Government, Britain gained the uper hand. Obviously, the loan was of character of politics and exploitation. Besides, it caused the finance of the Qing Dynasty Government extremely serious consequences.
