Mycoplasma culture and analysis of drug susceptibility in patients with nongonococcal urethritis

Objective:To understand the mycoplasma culture and the drug susceptibility in patients with nongonococcal urethritis(NGU).Methods:A mycoplasma culture was carried out in the samples of 248 cases and the drug susceptibility of mycoplasma to nine kinds of antimicrobial agents was done on the samples.The culture,identification and the drug sus ceptibility were carried out with one complex mycoplasma kit.Results:Of 248 cases,the rate of UU,MH and mixed infection were 72.18%,4.84% and 22.98%.The highest susceptibility rate of UU to nine antimicrobial agents was Josan mycin(91.13%),the second was Azithromyin(85.48%) and Clarithromycin(81.58%).The highest resistant rate of UU was Spaxacin(33.47%),the second was Ofloxacin(17.34%) and Levofloxacin(15.73%).Conclusion:The major mycoplasma in the patients with NGU is UU;Josanmycin and Azithromyin are the preferred drug for infection of UU.
