Abstract

Aim:To investigate the expression and significance of γ-IFN in cervical intraepithelial neoplasia and cervical squamous cell carcinoma. Methods: S-P immunohistochemistry(IHC)was used to investigate the expression of γ-IFN in 20 cases of Cervical squamous cell carcinoma,48 cases of Cervical Intraepithelial Neoplasia(CIN),and 10 cases of normal subjects served as controls.Leica Q550IW software and PU was used to measure the γ-IFN expression in different groups. Results: 1.The PU of γ-IFN positive expression in the controls,CIN and cervical squamous cell carcinoma were(30.80±2.62),(16.47±1.25),(9.80±1.62)(P0.05);2.The PU of γ-IFN positive expression in CIN(CINⅠ、Ⅱ、Ⅲ) were(18.17±2.35),(13.48±1.75),(10.20±3.5),such differences among CIN was statistically remarkable(P0.01);3.The expression of γ-IFN in various degrees of differentiation of cervical squamous cell carcinoma(well, moderately and poorly) were(12.75±1.06),(9.48±1.28),(6.06±1.13)(P0.05),but in the FIGO stages of cervical squamous cell carcinoma(Ⅰ、Ⅱ、Ⅲstages) were(8.91±0.72),(8.05±0.77),(7.79±0.45),and these expressions between different stages has no statistically significant(P0.05).Conclusion:The decreased expression of γ-IFN in the cervical lesions was associated with occurrence of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia and cervical squamous cell carcinoma, and simultaneously associated with degrees of differentiation of cervical squamous cell carcinoma.
