Abstract

Purpose To investigate the expression of retinoblastoma(Rb),minichromosome maintenance proteins 7(MCM7) proteins and its significance in cervical intraepithelial neoplasia and squamous cell carcinoma. Methods Experimental specimens were collected as follows: 10 cases of normal cervical tissue,90 cases of cervical intraepithelial neoplasias(including 30 cases of CIN1,30 cases of CIN2 and 30 cases of CIN3) and 30 cases of cervical squamous cell carcinoma, the expression of Rb,MCM7 were examined by immunohistochemical(PV 6000 two-step method) technique. Results The expression degree of Rb reduced gradually from normal cervical tissue, cervical intraepithelial neoplasia and cervical squamous cell carcinoma(H = 54.140,P 0.001).The expression degree of MCM7 increased gradually from normal cervical tissue, cervical intraepithelial neoplasia and cervical squamous cell carcinoma(H =66.751,P 0.001).The expression level of Rb was negatively correlated with MCM7(rs=- 0.536,P 0.01).Conclusion The expression of Rb,MCM7 proteins is associated with the level of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia and cervical squamous cell carcinoma, and they probably play an important role in the process of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia and cervical squamous cell carcinoma.
