The Expression and Clinical Significance of Her-2 in Gastric Cancer

Objective To investigate the expression and clinical significance of human epidermal growth factor receptor 2(Her-2) in gastric cancer.Methods 36 patients with gastric cancer from January 2009 to January 2012 treated in our hospital were chosen as the research object.Taking two-step immunohistochemical technique to detect the gastric cancer and adjacent tissues of Her-2 expression status and analyze.Results The Her-2 protein positive rate for gastric carcinoma was 25.0%,significantly higher than 5.6% of the adjacent tissues,the difference between the groups was statistically significant(P 0.05).Her-2 protein-positive and lymph node metastasis in gastric cancer tissues had a higher rate.Her-2 expression and gastric cancer were not influenced by the patients' sex,age,tumor size and location,but affected by the depth of tumor invasion,TNM pathological stage.Conclusions Her-2 expression is closely related with gastric cancer metastasis.It is an effective indicator for the guidance of gastric cancer treatment and prognosis.
