Abstract

Objective:To explore the effect of cannulated compression screw in the treatment of the femoral neck fracture.Method: From March 2005 to May 2008,57 patients with the femoral neck fraction were fixed with cannulated compression screw in our hospital.According to Garden classification,7 were type Ⅱ,22 were type Ⅲ,28 were type Ⅳ,They were treated with closed reset with X-ray fluoroscopy or opened rest with cannulated compression screw.9 patients with bone graft were Garden Ⅳ.Result: All were followed up for 19 months on average. The mean union time were 3 to 6 months(4.2 months on average).50 were assessed as excellent and good in this series.4 were fair,3 were necrosis. The total excellent and good rates of fracture healing were 88%.Conclusion: Cannulated compression screw can heal the femoral neck fracture.
