Abstract

Objective: To evaluate the clinical performance and inlays in restoring the posterior teeth. Methods: 50 posterior teeth were res tored with Ceramage inlays, and 46 posterior teeth were restored with Vita mark II inlays. All restorations were evaluated immediately, after 1 year and 3 years, according to modified USPHS parameters. Results: There was no significant difference in marginal discoloration, marginal sealability, and secondary carries between these two groups(P 0.05).The Ceramage inlays showed a significant performance in the color matching and resisting fracture than Vita mark II inlays(P 0.05).The achievement ratio of indirect resin inlays is 95 percent, and the achievement ratio of all-ceramic inlays is 73.7 percent. Conclusion: Indirect resin inlays can be suitable for eldlers with specifical requirement.
