Abstract

Objective To study the effects of the curcumin on proliferation in CNE-2Z-H5 cells in vitro and in vivo. Methods The effects of the curcumin on proliferation in CNE-2Z-H5 cells in vitro were studied by MTT assay and trypan blue dye exclusion.Duplicating the model of CNE-2Z-H5 cells implanted tumor in nude mice, then observe the effects of the different doses of curcumin on the growth of implanted tumors. Results The proliferation of CNE-2Z-H5 cells was inhibited significantly by curcumin compared with the control group, which was in dose dependent manner. The results in vivo showed the curcumin could inhibit the growth of CNE-2Z-H5 cells implanted tumor, the inhibited rate arrived at(26.19%)and(59.75%) respectively at the curcumin dose of 25mg/kg and 50mg/kg.Conclusion curcumin could inhibit the proliferation of CNE-2Z-H5 cells in vitro and in vivo,Curcumin might have applicable value in the therapy of NPC,and we have the necessary of continuing researches on curcumin.
