Clinical study of fluoxetine on treating Parkinson's disease with depression

Abstract

Objective To explore the clinical effect of fluoxetine for the patients with Parkinson's disease(PD)and depression.Methods48 cases of PD with depression were randomly divided into therapy group(24 cases)and control group(24 cases).The level of depression was evaluated by 17-item Hamilton depression rating scale(HAMD-17)before and after treatment.ResultsAt the end of 2th、4th、6th week,the scores of HAMD in therapy group were significantly reduced(P0.01),and the total effective antidepressant efficacy was significantly higher than that of control group(P0.01).ConclusionFluoxetine can improve the depressive state in the treatment of PD patients with depression.
