Significance of cluster nursing to the prevention of neonatal ventilator associated pneumonia

Abstract
[Objective]To evaluate the effects of cluster nursing on the prevention of neonatal ventilator associated pneumonia.[Method]The patients were divided into two groups,the control group and intervention group,by means of cohort study of nonsimultaneous period. The control group including 58 patients were provided regular nursing and the intervention group including 62 patients were supplied cluster nursing. [Result]The occurrence rate of neonatal ventilator associated pneumonia in intervention group was 8. 06%,which was significantly lower than that in the control group( 25. 86%).[Conclusion]Cluster nursing can significantly reduce the occurrence rate of neonatal ventilator associated pneumonia.
