Abstract

Objective To explore the effect of nursing intervention on the prevention of ICU ventilator associated pneumonia. Methods Sixty-four cases of mechanical ventilation patients of ICU in our hospital were randomly divided into control group and observation group, each group had 32 cases, control group was given routine nursing, observation group was given corresponding nursing intervention on the basis of routine nursing, the effect between the two groups were compared. Results The average time of mechanical ventilation in control group was obviously higher than that of observation group, the difference was statistically significant(P 0.05).The incidence of ventilator associated pneumonia was 31.25% in control group,it was obviously higher than that of observationgroup(12.50%),the difference was statistically significant(P 0.05).Conclusion Nursing intervention can reduce the mechanical ventilation time in mechanical ventilation patients and reduce the incidence of ventilator associated pneumonia.
