Abstract

Objective:To research the influence of the low dose simvastatin on blood lipid and C-reactive protein in elderly coronary heart disease.Method: 71 elderly patients of stable coronary heart disease with hyperlipidemia were divided into the treated group and the control group.the treated group was oral administration with simvastatin for 6 weeks, measuring their blood lipid and blood CRP before and after treatment, then to analyse them with statistics.Result: After 6 weeks of treatment, the plasma levels of TC,TG, LDL-C and CRP were significantly decreased(P0.05).Conclusion: The low dose simvastatin can reduce the blood lipid and CRP safely of elderly patients of stable coronary heart disease with hyperlipidemia.
