Simultaneous Determination of Chlorogenic Acid Geniposide and Baicalin in Qingre Jiedu Soft Capsule by HPLC

Abstract

Objective To establish an HPLC method for determination of chlorogenic acid,geniposide and baicalin in Qingre Jiedu soft capsules.Methods Agilent Eclipse XDB-C18 was used with the mobile phase consisting of methanol-2% acetic acid in a gradient manner at a flow rate of 1.0 ml · min-1.The detection wavelength was set at 254 nm while the column temperature was at 30 ℃.Results A good linear correlation was observed within the range of 0.010 92-0.4368 μg for chlorogenic acid(r=0.9999),0.010 20-0.4080 μg for geniposide(r=0.9999) and 0.042 56-1.7024 μg for baicalin(r=0.9999).The average recovery was 99.97% with an RSD of 1.57% for chlorogenic acid,99.02% with an RSD of 1.42% for geniposide,and 98.70% with an RSD of 1.52% for baicalin.Conclusion This method is quick,accurate and specific,which can be used for quality evaluation of Qingre Jiedu soft capsules.
