Abstract

The trend of two-dimensional flood routing modelling research is briefly analyzed.Based on the 20 m DEM data and observed discharge of Yanqi River, the flood-inundation under the designed flood frequency of the downstream channel is simulated herein with the two-dimensional unsteady flood-routing model.Furthermore, the simulated result is validated with Nash-Sutcliffe coefficient, and then, the simulated area, flood depth and land-inundation are analyzed as well. The result shows that the result is reliable with the error of the simulated flood depth of about 0.235 m,and the Nash-Sutcliffe coefficient of 0.78.The model can not only be applied to draw the flood risk map,but can also provide a strong technical support for the flooded area management, flood disaster assessment etc.
