Abstract
Objective:To investigate the features of chromosome by cytogenetics analysis and its clinical significance in 65 cases of chronic myelogenous leukemia(CML).Methods:Short term culture preparation bone marrow or peripheral blood cells karyotyping were performed in 65 CML patients by G-banding and to observe the patients clinical prognosis after been treated. Results:Of the 65 cases,61 cases were detected typical Ph chromosome(93.85%) and 6 patients had chromosome number abnormality(9.23%),3 patients had variant rearrangement(4.62%).Extra chromosome changes were demonstrated in 4 patients(6.15%).The patients with chromosome number abnormality had worse prognosis. Conclusion:Chromosome karyotype analysis is important in the treatment and prediction of the prognosis of CML.
