Study on action of pugeshuweiling on experimental gastric ulcer

Objective To study the action of pugeshuweiling(a TCM preparation) on the experimental gastric ulcer.Methods Water immersion and restraint stress-induced gastric injury was used as the experimental model of acute gastric ulcer,the acute gastric mucosal damage model in rats was induced by indomethacin,the rat gastric ulcer models induced by pyloric ligature.Ulcer-preventive action,effect on mice′s twisting motion caused by acetic acid,and in vitro counteraction to Helicobacter pylori were detected as to this medicine.Results Pugeshuweiling showed to be able to reduce area of experimental gastric ulcer,reduce the twisting motion,and inhibit the growth of Helicobacter pylori in vitro.Conclusion Pugeshuweiling has antiulcer effect on rats,the experimental data are identical with pugeshuweiling′s curative effect on gastric ulcer.
